1. Who is your favorite rapper?
I actually have different categories for artist I like and take interest in. I listen to music from all directions (flow, lyrical content, hooks, bars/punch lines…etc.) Right now it’s a toss-up between Jay-z and Kanye. But, my favorite rapper of all time is Biggie of course.
2. What is better indie or mainstream labels?
That’s another interesting question. Both have their own perks, pros and cons. I would have to say an indie label because of the way the industry is now. Mainstream labels now put deals on the table that do not benefit their artists. It’s selfish “360 deals” so the label gets all the money and you get left with 1000 shows just to make some pocket money for yourself. Now if you go indie you probably won’t make as much money as mainstream but you would gross more overall.
3. Where do u see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I see myself still involved in music. Signed or not signed music is my passion.
4. What’s your ultimate goal in life?
My ultimate goal is for me to be successful. Whether or not it’s in music, I want to leave the earth known for at least one great thing rather than nothing at all.
5. How much do u think u have changed since the 1st time u decided to start rapping?
I’ve changed drastically!! 1st time rapping for anyone wouldn’t be the best time. Anyone would be lying if they say it was. But you just have to have patience and practice your craft. Continue switching up flows ’til you’re comfortable, find your voice and beats that fit your style.
I honestly can say I’ve changed almost 200 percent since I 1st began rapping.
6. What else are u good at?
Hmm… I’m a very versatile person. I played almost every sport you could think of. I also have certified certificates in business marketing and computer technology.
7. Is it best to have a backup plan when it comes to music?
I do think it’s a good idea to have a backup plan when trying to get into the music business. The industry is very cut throat and some people aren’t built for it.
So many artists come and go. Well let me say “acts” because everyone is not an artist.
8. What do u think the industry is lacking in? How can u and other artist change that?
The industry is lacking passion, drive and hunger right now. Everyone is just trying to fit in and ride whatever trend is live right now.
As far as what can be done to change it. I just say good music. None of this dance.. “1 step… 2 step” nonsense.
Last but not least, I say unity. Artists really need to stop being so greedy and selfish and help each other out. That’s a long shot but truthfully that’s what the game needs. Young and GOOD talent moving as one, rather than trying to bash each other just to get ahead.
Thanks for your time and for the interview. I’ll keep you in touch with the future releases of music, photos, and videos.
Peace… Easy…
